There is a reaper whose name is Death and with his sickle keen he reaps the bearded grain at a breath and the flowers that grow between. This was on our mind and little Bert Gibson, afflicted for a long time, fell before this sickle on Aug 26, 1895, aged about 21 years. He leaves father, mother, two brothers, a sister and a host of friends to mourn his death. Deceased was a loving son and a brother, a kind friend, and during his sickness of many years was patient and uncomplaining. The loss to the parents is a sad one – he was bright and his sweet disposition made home pleasant – but let them remember in their sorrow that all must cross to the beyond, and that the Savior has only called him to his beautiful home over there. - kbz
